About us
Paul and Lisa- a f
ather and daughter team- have worked together for many years from baking fresh bread at the family bakery to running a busy family owned pub in the South West of Scotland. It was when Lisa got her first Border Collie puppy, Holly, that they realized their true love was dogs. The second puppy, Millie, followed a year later. They are our Mascots- both dogs are honoured on the truck, they go everywhere with us in spirit!
It all started with Holly...the dog with the bad hips who hated the very idea of going to the groomer- she would tremble in the back of the car as we pulled in and would shake for hours after we got her home. How could we possibly continue taking her there when she was so upset? So we threw caution to the wind and Groomer on the Go was born! We established in the Spring of 2007 after extensive training with Kathleen Stark at the Groomers Workshop in Pickering, ON. Our vision was to create a clean, sanitary grooming space that would be inviting and comfortable, we want to have your dog begging for more! While we waited for the creation of our truck we spent countless hours working on every breed of dog imaginable, and what a time we had! The resident Airedale and Boston Terriers kept us laughing and the revolving door of Poodles, Soft Coated Wheatens and Cocker Spaniels taught us everything we needed to know!
Paul and Lisa regularly attend workshops, trade shows and grooming seminars to keep up with current styles, trends and popular products. We also work closely with a local Veterinarian who advises us on any concerns we might have and keeps us busy with client referrals.
